Parents' Association

What is parents' Association (APE)?

The APE (Verein der Eltern und Förderer des französischen Gymnasiums in Düsseldorf e.V.) was founded in 1976.

Application form

All parents can become members of the Parents’ Association by submitting the membership form. Joining the APE is to actively participate in the success of our pupils. It is to contribute to strengthening the spirit of belonging to a dynamic international school!

The association is managed by a Management Committee (Vorstand) which is the executive body of the association and is composed of 6 to 10 members – parents who are volunteers elected from among the members of the association.
The members of the APE meet once a year at an Ordinary General Assembly to elect their representatives who sit on the Management Committee, to present the annual accounts and to vote on the budget and school fees for the following year. It is the managing body of the school and is legally responsible under German law.

What does APE do?

The APE has 3 objectives: The management of the institution (financial, strategic, human, bodies); The animation of the community (events, communication, sponsorship); Serving the best interests of the families;
