Bursaries
The Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) can provide bursaries to French nationality children living with their families abroad. Under certain conditions, the aids cover all or part of the cost of schooling, registration or re-enrolment fees, half-board, transport costs, maintenance costs and examination fees. They are proposed by local commissions set up by diplomatic or consular posts and allocated on approval by a national commission set up by the Director of the Agency.
Obtaining bursary applications
Bursary applications can be obtained either from the Consulate or from the school office. Please return them by post to the Consulate or make an appointment with the school assistance service of the Consulate General of France in Frankfurt.
New application
Any new family interested in applying must do so without waiting for the school to confirm the enrolment of their child(ren). The application for financial aid must be renewed each year and the file must be submitted within the regulatory timeframe. The presence of students receiving bursaries is verified at the start of the school year.
