Once again, the kangaroo competition proved to be a real success for our school. The mathematics game was created in 1990 on the model of the Australian national competition (hence its name). The first edition took place on 15 May 1991 and consisted of 24 multiple-choice questions of increasing difficulty, offered on the same day in schools in France and abroad. For the twenty-seventh year, over a hundred students from CE2 to Terminale from our school took part in this mathematical logic test on Thursday 16 March. As always, the results were very good overall, but two students particularly shone this year.
In troisième, Arthur Minaud came 13th and Tristan Traverse 34th out of nearly 15,000 competitors. And in CM2, Anaïs Kreutzer came 129th out of nearly 36,000 entrants.
We congratulate our three students, as well as all the other students from our school who took part in this year’s mathematics challenge, and we hope that next year even more students will be ready to compete again in 2024.
