Since December, the CP/CE1 C classes have been reading and rereading various classic and lesser-known tales, to plunge into the magical world of enchanted stories. The tales were also narrated by secondary school students who visited the class in December.
On Thursday 15 February, pupils were invited to spend a night at the school and join in an evening of storytelling.
Once everyone was settled in, the fun began! Children played games based on two tales: The Three Brigands by Tomi Ungerer and The Four Musicians of Bremen by the Brothers Grimm. They answered quizzes to test their comprehension of the stories, played speed-reading games, memory games and mimed the characters or key words from the two tales.
With evening fast approaching, it was time for dinner! And so they prepared an ‘Abendbrot’ (a German-style evening meal based on bread). A large buffet was laid out and everyone filled their plates several times over!
Two birthdays were also celebrated: Clémence and Garance blew out their candles with everyone!
Finally, it was time to get ready for the night. Once the sleeping bags were unfurled and the pyjamas put on, the pupils discovered a new tale, “The colour magician”, for dreams full of rainbow colours!
Everyone went to sleep. In the morning, Emily woke everyone up gently. After a brioche and chocolate breakfast, everyone got ready for the last day of school before the winter holidays.
What a pleasure to be the first to go to school!
